STEP Physical Literacy and Engage Education Partnership
Since 2008, Engage Education have filled 102,437 teaching positions in the UK. Their iday event (meet and interview with multiple schools on one day in one place) has sourced 1,032 international teachers from countries outside of the UK.
Working hard to continuously raise the standards of teaching through innovation and new ideas, Engage Education work closely with schools to recruit a wide range of specialist support staff to ensure every pupil has the same opportunity to succeed.
A partnership with STEP Physical Literacy naturally fits into the Engage ethos and the first 15 Engage-STEP schools in London are planning to begin school-based activities in January 2019.
David Evans, Director at Engage Education highlighted the impact STEP will have in the schools they work with: “Students engaging with STEP significantly improve their attainment levels and subsequently their life chances. The STEP Programme not only enhances the traditional interventions that we already offer our schools, but it also tackles many of the physical barriers to learning that are faced by pupils. The benefits of the programme are absolutely brilliant and we are all very proud to have the opportunity to support young people to make the progress they are capable of.”
